What is EarthNotes?

EarthNotes is my series of small abstract expressions and landscapes painted with inks I create from natural materials like berries, tree bark, coal, flower petals, and more. No two are alike. Each card is an original artwork, not a print. Each thematic EarthNotes collection is curated using the cultural and spiritual symbolism of the natural materials used to paint the set.

Each set is a limited edition set. My natural inks are made as small batches. Once an ink is gone, the same ink may not return to my collection.

Natural inks may change over time or with exposure to sunlight. This is part of my artistic process. The work is meant to be a reflection of living in the moment. Pieces are created on cotton watercolor paper, which is prone to buckling with natural inks. Some cards are created with mordants like pickling salt and baking soda and may have a raised or crystalized texture. Each set is unique. Designs on the sets shipped may differ from what is pictured below.
